Are you a last minute shopper?
Did you wait until all the shelves were bare at your local Christkindlmarkt to find the “perfect gift” for a loved one?
Well, we have you covered. With our help, you can be the Ghost of Christmas Future at your family holiday get-together by letting your loved ones know you made a gift to HousingForward Virginia in their name. Affordable housing is a gift that ensures we all have warm holidays in a home that comforts us, protects us… and leaves us with enough pocket money for stocking stuffers.
For a gift of $500, you can author a blog post for The FWD highlighting some of the amazing work in housing affordability from around the country to inspire those of us in Virginia. You’ll be in the ranks of our most-read posts from this year—this February blog about inclusionary housing, this August blog describing the basics of bond funding, and this May blog about public enterprise housing projects.
For a gift of $750, you can become a Presenting Sponsor for one of our webinars in 2024. These events are a critical way for us to showcase new solutions that help our housing “first responders” expand housing options easily, swiftly, and effectively in their communities. Be sure to suggest any ideas or stories for these webinars in your donation form.
For a gift of $1,000, you’ll be added to our insider list to get a sneak peek when we add new data and dashboards to Sourcebook, along with other major additions and updates to tools and resources across our website.
And for any gifts above $5,000, we’ll collaborate with you to expand our new Virginia Zoning Atlas to your community. This tool helps illuminate where and how local land use regulations might be working against housing abundance — and can spur more productive conversations on ways to reimagine zoning for our needs today.
We thank you all for the time you’ve spent with us this year improving housing conditions in the Commonwealth. We look forward to doing more together in the New Year!
Your HousingForward Team,
Jonathan, Eric, Flora, Maria, Erica and Karin
