On Monday, September 28th, we partnered with VCU’s Center for Urban and Regional Analysis to provide a webinar on the basics of affordable housing to over 200 planners across the state. The webinar was part of an ongoing education series by the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association.

Kicking off this year’s Governor’s Housing Conference, HousingForward Virginia will convene a pre-conference session on Tuesday, November 17 at 3pm.
In late August and early September, we worked with VPLC and Richmond City Health District to produce a series of webinars called #Lead2020: Lead-Safe Homes, Healthy Families. The goal of these events was to raise awareness about the dangers of lead contamination in homes across the Commonwealth.
In March of this year, the GA passed HB 854, which mandates that DHCD and Virginia Housing carry out a study of housing policies, programs, and conditions in the Commonwealth.
