Since our event at last year’s Governor’s Housing Conference, ZONED OUT, we’ve been diligently working on a new focused initiative centered on zoning education. Beginning this month, a series of three events will showcase what we’ve accomplished so far, especially with regards to the centerpiece of this initiative, the Virginia Zoning Atlas.

At this 1-hour virtual learning session, we’ll share more about what’s involved in developing a zoning atlas, what it shows, what it doesn’t show, and address some of your questions about this innovative resource.
Hampton Roads Zoning Atlas Forum
Friday, October 13th, 10am at Hampton Roads Planning District Commission
On Friday, October 13th, HousingForward Virginia and the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission will host a regional forum to release new findings on zoning’s influence on housing affordability and opportunity in the region, and to hear experts share successful ways to modernize zoning for building livable, resilient communities.
